Cisco ISE for CCNP & CCIE Security

Requirements

Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is a network administration  product that enables the creation and enforcement of security and access  policies for endpoint devices connected to the company’s routers and  switches. The purpose is to simplify identity management across diverse  devices and applications.

ISE is a component of Cisco’s Borderless Networking and the company’s TrustSec product line.

The Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is a next-generation identity  and access control policy platform that provides a single policy plane  across the entire organization combining multiple services, including  authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) using 802.1x, MAB,  web authentication, posture, profiling, device on-boarding, guest  services, and VPN access into a single context-aware identity-based  platform.

The centerpiece in zero-trust security for the workplace

A critical component of any zero-trust strategy is securing the workplace that everyone and everything connects to. Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) enables a dynamic and automated approach to policy enforcement that simplifies the delivery of highly secure network access control. ISE empowers software-defined access and automates network segmentation within IT and OT environments.

Why enable secure access with ISE?

Gain visibility with context and control

Know who, what, where, and how endpoints and devices are connecting. Look deep into devices to ensure compliance and limit risk–with or without an agent.

Extend zero trust to contain threats

Software-defined network segmentation shrinks the attack surface, limits the spread of ransomware, and enables rapid threat containment.

Accelerate value of existing solutions

Integrates with Cisco and third-party solutions to bring an active arm of protection into passive security solutions and increase your ROI.

Take the next step in secure access

ISE provides the foundation for policy control within DNA Center and is the linchpin for SD-Access.
